Cinnamon leaf oils

Everybody knows the warm musky aroma of cinnamon. It always reminds me of cold days and pancakes. Cinnamon leaf essential oil is distilled from the leaves of the cinnamon tree, as opposed to the darker and more potent oil derived from the bark of the tree. The bark is where our cinnamon quills come from which are powdered to make the spice we use in our kitchens.
Cinnamon Leaf essential oil has very effective antiseptic properties and using it in diffusers and vaporizers will prohibit the spread of bacteria in the home as well as help relieve symptoms of colds and flu. It is uplifting and calming and can help encourage a good restful sleep.

Because it is such a warming oil, a small amount in a massage blend with Marjoram or Lavender will stimulate circulation and ease muscle tension and aches.
Always remember to use essential oils in a carrier oil before applying to the skin.
Cinnamon oil is not recommended for use by pregnant women.
